Technical Consultant

Zycko is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Storage Consultant based in Spain to provide product and solution support, advice, designs and quotations on behalf of Zycko Limited whilst adhering to company policies at all times. Training will be provided for Zycko portfolio storage technologies.

The successful candidate will have sound experience of enterprise / modular class storage array such as IBM, HP and EMC and the ability to design complex architecture. The successful candidate should be self-confident, driven and able to build effective professional relationships with internal and external clients.

The Role

The successful candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

• Assist sales with product/solution support by providing pre-sales advice, designs and quotations
• Responsible for solutions from design to installation
• To work closely in support with the resellers' and Zycko sales team to design Zycko storage solutions
• Assist our resellers' partners as pre/post sales technical specialist
• Ascertain user's business requirements and create solutions that match or exceed the requirements and deliver them within suitable time frames
• Responsible for supporting sales with technically stable configs and schematics
• Effectively position complementary products and solutions offered via the Zycko storage portfolio
• Manage and execute implementation of solutions and complementary products
• Provide technical support for Zycko storage portfolio
• Maintain excellent knowledge of competitive products and utilize key points to establish Zycko storage solutions as the products of choice to the user and channel partner

The Person

The most important criteria include sound experience and knowledge in designing complex enterprise storage solutions. Possess excellent technical sales presentation skills, tenacity and first-class interpersonal skills.

• Fluent English
• Requires sound knowledge of enterprise applications and operating systems in their relationship to storage
• Requires experience and knowledge of storage vendors such as IBM, HP and EMC
• Essential: excellent 'end user' experience in specifying high end storage solutions
• Technical ability to specify own storage solutions
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment, adopting a proactive approach at all times, with strong project management skills
• Ability to proritise and manage work load accordingly
• Ability to work on own initiative or work as part of a team
• Ability to interact with people on both business and technical issues, and to build lasting effective professional relationships
