27 Aug 2008
Tonia Gonsalves, senior director of global partner enablement at Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), has been named among the "power 50" of women in her sector.
Chosen by the editors of VARBusiness magazine, the shortlist highlights female practitioners within the technology channel who have reached a position of power in their roles as executives.
Ms Gonsalves was singled out as having earned for herself a "deep respect" among her counterparts and offering a "shining example" to her colleagues.
Her role at HDS involves creating strategies through which the firm's global partners are able to reach the market and also increase the effectiveness of their businesses.
She comments: "This is a dynamic and diverse industry based on ideas and collaborative success - I am glad to be a part of it."
Other accolades granted to HDS recently have included the Green Comm Award Mexico 2008 by EJ Krause Mexico, in recognition of the Environmental Vision 2025 strategy devised by parent company Hitachi.
