academy@ work closely with strategic partners to facilitate training in other centres across the UK and have recently started offering training in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

academy@ use a host of contract trainers and consultants throughout EMEA to ensure that we are providing intelligent training options.

Meet the UK team

Dr Dave Spence - Working with all technologies, Dave is our principal instructor & primarily responsible for Riverbed, Asigra and CommVault. Formerly with BBC Training & Development, Dave brings a wealth of experience from the world of Broadcast engineering.

Peter Barnes - Peter is Head of academy@ and is responsible for the training business development, however, as a seasoned trainer with a wide breadth and depth of technical knowledge and experience, he makes room to deliver generic technology courses in Data Networking, Storage and Voice over IP. Peter is a longstanding member of the Institute of IT Trainers.

Neal Cartwright - Working with all technologies, Neal is one of our contract trainers primarily responsible for delivery of our Riverbed Administration Training for End-users. Neal was a trainer for the BBC from 1990 and went freelance in 1997. His main expertise are in Linux/Unix and TCP/IP networking, also covering databases and web/database development.

Dr Ken Duncan - Working with Data Communications technologies, Ken is one of our contract trainers primarily responsible for delivery of Huawei Courses. Formerly an Instructor Officer in the Royal Navy, Ken has over 10 years experience in commercial training and has worked extensively with leading Data Networking Vendors. Ken is certified in many technologies, is a Chartered Engineer and also has a PhD in Semiconductor Physics.
