Optimizing the Performance of your Network Servers

Alacritech's Scalable Network Accelerators (SNAs) allow servers to perform more efficiently and therefore scale to support additional clients, additional workloads, and enhanced application performance.

SNAs are designed to focus solely on moving network processing off the host CPU, allowing the CPU to do what it is intended to do: general purpose processing. The added efficiency and scalability allows the server to do more and results in a reduction in the number of servers required. Not only does this save the cost associated with buying additional servers, it also leads to savings in power, cooling, software licenses and management.

As companies grow, email, databases, file-serving, and rich media are all combining to overwhelm even the most powerful systems. The complicated task of network processing eats up CPU cycles. Today, it's become common for servers to have multiple gigabit connections, rendering host processors unable to keep up with user demands.
