ZT1000 - "Powered by Paranoia"

Encrypted using a unique dual interlaced 3DES2 mode data backed up onto on a ZT1000 unit can only be read by another Paranoia based unit with the correct user and hardware key. This guarantees the integrity and confidentiality of your sensitive data.

To ensure that the secured backup solution will provide fast through put and high capacity. The ZT1000 units have inbuilt pre compression and an internal dual channel architecture with adaptive data caching. Select the ZT1000 unit that meets your capacity requirements. ZT1000 is supported by all the major backup Software vendors as well as most legacy backup applications. The ZT1000 range of tape encryption products have been deployed throughout Europe and North America since 1997.

Why encrypt data on tape?

Users are well protected against external intrusion by a large number of specialist appliances and software; internal intrusion is defended against by access control, audit systems and by only giving people access to information they need. To ensure the data can be recovered in the event of a disaster, system malfunction or even human error, data needs to be backed up and stored safely.

Most users, use tape as the media of choice. Once written to tape however the data is completely unprotected; with no access control, passwords or audit trail. To ensure that backup data cannot be accessed or modified when using the ZT1000 range uses 3DES2 hardware encryption ensures that it will remain secure, and integrity is assured.

ZT1000 LTO

The ZT1000 LTO unit is available with either an LTO, AIT or SDLT drives, and comes in a desk top enclosure complete with integral power supply. A front panel LCD status display indicates the operation being performed as well as showing the amount and speed of data that has been backed up.
